For the professional musician the search for perfect sound is a treasure hunt. With the introduction of the POST PIANO, your hunt is over. Designed and developed by Post Musical Instruments in Amsterdam, this digital piano achieves a realism and perfection never before heard.

The Post Piano is a breakthrough in digital piano technology. The perfect sound is achieved by using OVER FIVE GIGABYTES of true stereo recordings for one concert grand piano. We have achieved endless perfection in the playback of every nuance. Conventional sampled pianos use no more than sixty-four megabytes of samples to cover an entire instrument. The POST PIANO uses up to two hundred MB per key!

With this revolutionary technology and its advanced features, the POST PIANO is the most state-of-the-art piano available for the demanding musician or composer It provides a previously untapped realism and unique sound experience, unthinkable until now. Play the Post Piano and discover the keys to perfection.

A revolution in realism
The Post Piano is a stunning reproduction of the Steinway D, using a whopping five gigabytes of discrete samples per instrument. It sets a new standard in realism.

1st Public Performance
At Doors 7, Ivo Janssen's virtuoso piano-playing of music by Dutch minimalist composer Simeon ten Holt was the soul of speed of the conference. His piece, which embodied lightness, was Soloduiveldans III (Solo Devil's Dance III). For Doors 7 on Flow, Janssen has chosen to play on the new Postpiano, a remarkable digital instrument which uses five gigabytes of discrete samples to recreate the sound of a Bosendorfer 290 Concert Grand piano.

A sound revolution
POST PIANO is the first to use disk streaming technology for the playback of samples. It plays full length, full-decay digital recordings, direct from hard disk. No more tiny looped sounds played from RAM storage like previous technologies. No more artificial decays. With twenty different un-looped samples available per key, every dynamic nuance has its own naturally recorded sound. The sustain pedal down notes each have their own recordings. Last, but not least, the release of each key triggers the actual sound of the acoustic key release.

Other digital pianos use a maximum of sixty-four megabytes of samples, for a whole instrument! This forces them to use loops and re-tuning, resulting in poor tone quality and a lack of realism. The POST PIANO has up to TWO HUNDRED MEGABYTES of samples for each key. This technological breakthrough, with five gigabytes of samples overall, ensures you the highest level of realism available.

Rely on unequalled realism
Professional musicians and composers need the highest level of sound reproduction. With the unique playback features of the POST PIANO, your demands are met. You get the power of twenty un-looped samples for each key, up to six different recordings for velocity, with separate samples for the sustain pedal. With the rich resonant pedal down samples, the release triggered sound board resonance that varies over time, and the wide dynamic range, it all comes down to hearing a true replica of the instrument you're playing.

Various instruments
Besides the natural sounding Steinway D and Bosendorfer 290 concert grands, the POST PIANO is loaded with equally stunning samples of other instruments including harpsichords, virginal, cabinet organ, church organs, and many others, instruments which have suffered from technological imperfections in other digital pianos. These limitations are now gone, defeated by our patented technology. When you already own a large collection of samples you can simply import them into the Post Piano sound database. Finally, the ultimate realism in sound is available for all these instruments.

Built-in sequencer
The POST PIANO is equipped with a full software sequencer with almost unlimited tracks (LOGIC, CUBASE or SIBELIUS). You'll see your musical score on the large 15-inch LCD monitor. You can record your own compositions, display them on the screen and burn them to CD. You can print your scores, and scan sheet music, too!

Digital Studio
The POST PIANO is a state-of-art digital workstation, ready for your compositions and perfromances. The advanced sequencer, combined with the POST PIANO digital mixer brings a complete digital studio under your fingers.

Internet
The POST PIANO comes equipped with a standard web browser and modem. Downloading MIDI files and collaborating online with fellow musicians has never been easier. A touch-screen LCD monitor is optional.
